Narravel ("we", "us") is operated by CleverByAI B.V., Lange Reed 9, 9271 GE De Westereen, the Netherlands. We care about your privacy and only collect what we need to run the service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the GDPR. The data controller is CleverByAI B.V.; contact us at info [at] narravel.com.

What we collect

• Account: your email address and sign-in details (via our auth provider).
• Your trips & content: the photos, routes, notes, voice recordings and places you add.
• Plans you create: destinations, interests and the shortlists generated for you.
• Billing: subscription status and payment metadata (card details are handled by our payment provider, never stored by us).
• Waitlist & contact: the email address and message you send us.
• Usage & device data: basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

Why we use it (legal bases)

• To provide the service (performance of a contract): store your trips, generate plans, create and share your stories and books.
• Payments (contract / legal obligation): manage your subscription and invoices.
• Waitlist & contact (consent): to reply to you and let you know when the app is ready.
• Security & improvement (legitimate interest): keep the service safe and working well.

Sharing a trip

When you create a share link, the content you chose becomes viewable by anyone with that link — that's the point of sharing. No account is needed to view. You control what you share and can stop sharing at any time.

Service providers (processors)

We use trusted providers to run Narravel; they process data on our behalf under agreements and never for their own purposes. These include hosting & database, file/photo storage, authentication, payments, AI text generation, web-search enrichment, and print-on-demand for books. We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EEA; where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account, and delete it (or anonymise it) within a reasonable period after you close your account or ask us to. Waitlist entries are kept until launch or until you ask to be removed.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info [at] narravel.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
